Gazprom "hold"

NEW YORK, December 28 (newratings.com) - Analysts at Alfa Bank maintain their "hold" rating on Gazprom (GAZ.FSE). The target price is set to $10.60.

In a research note published this morning, the analysts mention that the company's CEO, Alexei Miller, has indicated that shortages in gas deliveries to Europe are likely, following the failure of the negotiation process with the Belarussian parties regarding a gas supply agreement for the forthcoming year. The uncertainty regarding the signing of an agreement with Belarus appears to be temporary and the impact on Gazprom is expected to be neutral, the analysts say.
