Belarus Ambassador visited Pavlodar

PAVLODAR. December 6, 2006. KAZINFORM /Vera Livintsova/ - Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Belarus to Kazakhstan Vasily Gapeyev paid a one-day official visit to Pavlodar yesterday.

At the meeting with akim (mayor) of Pavlodar oblast (region of Kazakhstan) Kairat Nurpeissov they discussed a wide range of issues of interaction in economical, cultural, trade and tourism spheres. The diplomat expressed opinion that Pavlodar and Minsk oblasts were able to become twin regions. The republics have to implement a task to double commodity turnover.

Mr. Gapeyev participated in the festival of ethnic cookery, where Byelorussian national cultural center represented various dishes. Besides, the ambassador got acquainted with sightseeing of the regional center, visited the mosque and Annunciation cathedral.
