Belarus has limited export of Belarusian car tires to Ukraine until December 31, 2012

The relevant decision was approved by the Belarusian Council of Ministers' resolution No. 1607 of November 1.

The Belarusian government resolved that export of Belarusian tires to Ukraine should not exceed 450,000 in 2010, 575,000 in 2011, and 650,000 in 2012.

The Belarusian government adopted this resolution in implementation of an agreement between it and the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers on the terms of export of Belarusian tires to Ukraine that was signed on September 30, 2010.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, First Deputy Prime Minister Andrii Kliuev and Belarus' First Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko signed the agreement during a meeting of the Ukrainian-Belarusian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation on September 30.

Ukraine launched an anti-dumping investigation into importation of inflatable tires for cars from Ukraine in March.

In June 2009, Belarus agreed to voluntarily limit tire exports to Ukraine to 450,000 in 2009 (including the quantity that had already been exported in 2009), but the relevant agreement was not extended to 2010.
