MINSK, November 8 (Itar-Tass) -- Belarus is ready to be the most active participant in the EU's Eastern Partnership program, President Alexander Lukashenko told Germany's largest media in an interview.
"We are ready to be the most active actor in the Eastern Partnership program, if the European Union wants this, too," he said, but admitted at the same time that the movement in this direction was very slow.
"We have proposed specific projects, and very beneficial ones, including those for Germany and the north and south of Europe. We are ready to let the EU and the whole of Europe use our opportunities in their own interests," said Lukashenko.
About relations with the European nations he said he had no doubt that "we must move in the direction of cooperation."
