Byelorussian state orders for ferrous scrap to increase in 2011

It is reported that Belarus has determined the volumes of ferrous and non ferrous waste and scrap required for state needs in 2011 as 1.5 million tonnes and 18,284 tonnes respectively.

The main consumers of state ordered scrap in Belarus are the enterprises of the Byelorussian Ministry of Industry for which 560,000 tonnes of scrap are to be supplied in the current year, the enterprises of the Ministry of Transport and Communications for which 120,000 tonnes of scrap are to be supplied, the Byelorussian Republican Union of Consumer Societies for which 208,000 tonnes will be delivered and the Ministry of Architecture and Construction which is to receive 62,000 tonnes in 2011.
