The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Radoslaw Sikorski and of Germany, Guido Westerwelle will pay a visit to Minsk. They will meet the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Martynov, and they will be also received by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. The Minister Radoslaw Sikorski will also talk with the head of the administration of the President of Belaruss, Vladimir Makey about bilateral Polish-Belarusian relations.
The visit by Ministers of Foreign Affairs of two large EU members states takes place just before presidential elections in Belarus (19th December). In connection with those elections both ministers want to send a clear European message. They are planning to meet many candidates running in presidential elections and representatives of the organisations of the Belarusian civil society.
