Belarusian parliament to hear results of delegation's visit to S.Ossetia, Abkhazia, Georgia next week

MOSCOW. Nov 26 (Interfax) - The Belarusian parliamentary commission on international affairs will be able to submit documents drawn up based on results of a Belarusian parliamentary delegation's trip to South Ossetia, Abkhazia, and Georgia next week, Vladimir Andreichenko, the chairman of the House of Representatives, the lower chamber of the Belarusian parliament, told journalists on Thursday.

"The materials will be presented next week, and we will consider them," said Andreichenko, who is taking part in a session of the Belarus-Russia Union's parliamentary assembly in Moscow.

Asked by Interfax whether this implies that the Belarusian parliament may express its position regarding South Ossetia and Abkhazia's independence by the end of 2009, Andreichenko refrained from giving a clear answer to this question. "We will listen to our international commission's opinion," he said.

He also called for "looking for approaches" towards making a balanced decision.
