Belarus to build up terminal infrastructure

In response to an expected 50% rise in oil production next year, Belarus is beefing up its storage base.

State-owned Belorusneft is assessing whether to build, purchase or rent an oil terminal in one of the Baltic Sea ports.

'The terminals are steady and used efficiently,' Nikolai Vasilievich, Belorusneft director general, comments. 'Any price will include railway tariffs for transportation of our products from neighbouring countries to the Baltics.'

The company opened a tender seeking bids on long term sales of fuel oil in September.
