Belarusian Chief State Veterinarian Founds Rosselkhoznadzor's Estimation of Belarusian Quality Control System not quite Justified

The message of Federal Agency for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor) on Belarusian control system incapability to guarantee safety of supplied products of animal origin to the Russian Federation can't be considered as completely justified, as Valentina Kachan, the Chief State Veterinarian - Deputy Minister of Health of Belarus said to the Agency "Interfax-Zapad" on Monday.

She specified that if the control system of products of animal origin had been at such level as it was described in Rosselkhoznadzor's message, there would be more cases of diseases caused by such poor products every year. Thereat, she added: "Today, the decrease of number of diseases induced by poor products of animal origin is observed in Belarus".

Apart from that, V. Kachan pointed out that new equipment was purchased for laboratories. Thereat, she said that there were three laboratories in Belarus which already did meet the necessary standards.
