Belarusian parliamentarians to participate in sessions of CIS IPA and EurAsEC IPA in St. Petersburg

A delegation of the National Assembly of Belarus will participate in sessions of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, the EurAsEC Inter-Parliamentary Assembly and the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly in St. Petersburg on November 24-25, BelTA learnt from the parliamentary press service.

The Belarusian delegation will be led by chairmen of the House of Representatives and the Council of Republic Vladimir Andreichenko and Boris Batura.

On November 24, the St. Petersburg Tavrichesky Palace will host the international conference which will consider the issues regarding the humanitarian law and the EurAsEC IPA's session dedicated to agro-industrial policy.

On November 24, the CSTO PA's session will consider the concept for rapprochement and unification of the collective security legislation. The final report on the military-political situation in the Caucasus region will be presented to the parliamentarians.

The 31st plenary session of the CIS IPA will be held on November 25. The session will consider the international cooperation in the area of democratic elections and in the food security area. The laws "On prevention and control over environment pollution", "On electronic commerce", "On missing persons", "On opposition to extremism" are expected to be discussed at the session. Moreover, the parliamentarians will consider the issues regarding the CIS Customs Code.

A session of the EurAsEC IPA Bureau will consider the development of the energy area. This issue will be high on the agenda of the session.

A number of bilateral meetings of Vladimir Andreichenko and Boris Batura with heads of parliamentary delegations of the CIS member states are expected to be held within the framework of the sessions in St. Petersburg.
