Vitebsk celebrates Latvia's 90th anniversary

Today the 90th anniversary of Latvia will be celebrated in Belarus, in the sister city of Daugavpils (Latgale Province), Vitebsk, as LETA learned from Daugavpils City Council's Culture Administration Department.

At the event, Daugavpils will be represented by delegates from the city's Culture Administration Department, the Latvian culture center mixed choir "Daugava" and male choir "Forte" with conductor Jevgenijs Ustinskovs. Soloists: Anzela Gasjaneca (piano) and Vera Talerko (vocal).

Concert's program includes music pieces by contemporary Latvian composers and a wide range of traditional Latvian and Latgallian folk songs.

The festive event in Vitebsk in honor of Latvia's anniversary is organized by the Consulate of Latvia in Vitebsk.
