Belarus approves protocol with Russia on property ownership rights

The Council of Ministers of Belarus issued resolution No1679 to approve the protocol between the governments of Belarus and the Russian Federation on the legal status (ownership right) of some facilities located on the territory of the Republic of Belarus and on the territory of the Russian Federation, BelTA learnt from the Council of Ministers Office.

The document completes the interstate procedures necessary for the protocol to enter into force. The protocol was signed in Moscow on September 16, 2008.

The protocol recognizes the right of ownership of the Republic of Belarus for the objects (property): the state establishment "Sanatorium Belarus" of the Presidential Property Management Department (62 Politechnicheskaya Street, Sochi, Krasnodar krai); the state establishment "Sanatorium Belaya Rus" of the Presidential Property Management Department (Maisky, Tupse region, Krasnodar krai).

The document recognizes the property right of the Russian Federation for the Belinteravtoservice production premises in Minsk (23 Rakovskaya Street).

The protocol entitles the Russian authorized bodies to register the Belarus and Belaya Rus health facilities as a property of the Republic of Belarus in line with the legislation of the Russian Federation. The document also entitles the Belarusian authorized bodies to register Belinteravtoservice production premises as the Russian property in line with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.

The protocol legitimates the Belarusian health centres on the territory of the Russian Federation and the Russian company in Belarus.
