Ambassador of Belarus in the National Assembly

On November 14 RA NA Presidnet Mr Hovik Abrahamyan received the newly appointed Ambassador of Belarus to Armenia Mr Stepan Sukhorenko.

The Ambassador conveyed the congratulatory messages of the previous Presidents of two chambers, saying that in Belarus as a result of new parliamentary elections the Presidents of two chambers had been changed. Congratulating on his behalf the NA President Mr Sukhorenko expressed confidence that the inter-parliamentary relations of two countries would develop more efficiently from now on getting new quality.

NA President Mr Hovik Abrahamyan congratulated the Ambassador on the occasion of the appointment in Armenia and wished success during his tenure, noting that he would permanently have the parliament's and personally his support. Highlighting the development of the inter-parliamentary relations of two countries the NA President noted the importance of holding the Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation sitting, whci was canceled due to elections. He conveyed his congratulations to the newly elected President of the Council of the Republic Mr Boris Batura and the President of the House of Representatives Mr Vladimir Andreychenko. Highlighting the importance of the mutual visits for the development of the relations the NA President invited them to Armenia with an official visit.

At the meeting the two sides highlighted the development of trade-economic, scientific-educational and cultural ties, which could promote the inter-parliamentary relations.
