Belarus would like to produce champagne and still wines jointly with Moldova

Belarus would like to set up joint ventures with Moldova to produce champagne and still wines, BelTA learnt from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Moldova Vasily Sakovich.

According to the diplomat, the Moldovan side is interested in this project as Belarus has a large market to sell wines.

According to Vasily Sakovich, the cooperation with Moldova should include all the processing chain: grape growing, export of wines to Belarus (in bulk) and wines' bottling at Belarusian wineries.

The Belarusian-Moldovan joint venture, which will produce wines, has been already set up in the Vitebsk oblast. According to Vasily Sakovich, it is only the first step on the way of development of the Belarusian-Moldovan cooperation in winemaking.
