Belarus, Russia presidents may meet before yearend

MINSK, November 1 (Itar-Tass) - The presidents of Belarus and Russia may meet before the yearend, Russian Ambassador to Belarus Alexander Surikov told reporters on Thursday.

"This meeting is possible before the yearend, though I cannot speak about a concrete date," he said.

The ambassador also did not rule out that the Supreme State Council of the Russia-Belarus Union State might meet before the yearend. "There are some decisions of the Union State government that should be adopted at the Supreme State Council," he pointed out.

The diplomat believes that the Supreme State Council may meet in December after the State Duma elections.
