November 7, 2006 -- Iran and Belarus today signed eight documents to expand bilateral cooperation, as Belarusian President Alyaksandr Lukashenka wrapped up a visit to Tehran.
The deals involve the oil sector and the car and tractor industries.
A joint statement reaffirmed Minsk's support of Iran's nuclear efforts.
Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad said Lukashenka's two-day visit had opened up a new chapter in bilateral relations.
