Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko wrapped up an official two-day visit to Iran and returned to his country on Tuesday.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad officiated at a farewell ceremony for Lukashenko and his delegation at the Presidential Office Tuesday morning.
The Belarussian president arrived in Tehran Sunday evening accompanied by a high-ranking politico-economic delegation for talks with Iranian officials.
The Belarussian president, during his two-day visit, held talks with President Ahmadinejad and Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.
The two presidents signed a joint declaration on the Belarussian president's visit before holding a joint press conference.
Lukashenko and his accompanying delegation this morning paid tribute to the Father of the Islamic Revolution, the late Imam Khomeini, by visiting his mausoleum and laying a wreath on his tomb.
Iranian and Belarussian officials here Tuesday signed eight documents for expansion of bilateral cooperation in various fields.
