Visit Of Azerbaijani President To Belarus Opened New Phase In Development Of Both Countries

First deputy prime minister of Belarus Vladimir Semashko has met minister of the industry and energy of Azerbaijan Natig Aliyev and had exchange of views on development of economic relations between two countries. As was noted, for expansion of ties in the field of economy and industry, it is necessary to use effectively available potential, to pay special attention to the question of creation of joint ventures.

Natig Aliyev, in particular, has said: "Organization of assembly and production of "Bealrus" tractors is on the agenda. Some suggestions have already been made to the government. The Minister said that today there are 13 thousand "Belarus" tractors in Azerbaijan, a thousand of which need to be repaired. Production of these tractors can be organized at one of the plants of Open Stock Companies of "Azneftekimyamash". For example, at the branch enterprise "Sabunchu mashingayirma" there are all conditions to start production of tractors.

The Minister said that Belarus shows interest in Azerbaijani oil. In the frame of visit, the parties had relevant discussions. Belarus studies opportunities for delivery to the country of the Azerbaijani oil.

First deputy prime minister of Belarus, noting importance of development of bilateral economic relations, said: "Visit of the Azerbaijan President to Belarus gave serious impulse to cooperation of our countries and opened for this new opportunities. Goal of our visit is to concretize directions of cooperation defined in Minsk.

Vladimir Semashko also emphasized that current visit will plan the activities for visit of the Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko to Azerbaijan in April-May of coming year.
