New price of gas for Belarus explained
RBC, 03.11.2006, Minsk 16:29:34.The price of Russian natural gas supplied to Belarus may reach $140 per 1,000 cubic meters, Russia's Plenipotentiary Envoy to Belarus Alexander Surikov told a press conference in Minsk. He explained that the price of $200 per 1,000 cubic meters of gas announced by Gazprom earlier included VAT, which is now being paid at the rate of the country of destination. Gazprom was not immediately available for comment on the subject.
