Russia's Putin sees end to gas row with Belarus-RIA

MINSK, Nov 28 (Reuters) - Russia's President Vladimir Putin said after talks with Belarus leader Alexander Lukashenko on Tuesday he hoped a row over gas between the ex-Soviet allies would be solved soon, RIA news agency reported.

Russia's giant Gazprom (GAZPq.L: Quote, Profile, Research) wants Belarus to hand over control of its gas pipeline network, including a transit pipeline to Europe, or face high gas prices from next year. Belarus has so far resisted Russia's pressure.

"I hope that fnal decisions will be made soon," it quoted Putin as saying. "On there expert level, there is not only a mutual understanding, but also agreements on how to reach the final solution."
