Minister Of Economic Development Meets With Belarusian Deputy Minister Of Industry
Azerbaijan's Minister of Economic Development Heydar Babayev met with visiting Belarussian Deputy Minister of Industry Valentin Qurinovich.
Heydar Babayev said Azerbaijan is keen to strengthen bilateral ties with Belarus.
He noted there is a potential for expansion of trade between the two countries.
The Azeri Minister stressed his country is ready to cooperate with Belarus in the field of mechanical engineering.
Valentin Qurinovich noted during his trip he managed to visit three engineering plants in Azerbaijan including the Ganja Automobile Plant, which he said is the most suitable for production of tractors, automobiles and buses.
"If Azerbaijan's government approves of our proposal, we are ready to start production in Ganja", the Belarussian diplomat said.
Ambassador of Belarus to Azerbaijan Nikolay Patskevich was also present at the meeting.
