Minsk, November 23 (Interfax-West) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko believes his country could coordinate with Ukraine tariff policies on Russian gas transit.
"What if we pursued a single policy in talks with Russia on this matter? Would it be worse? It would be better. So let's do it," Lukashenko said in Minsk at a press conference for the Ukrainian media.
"I have already spoken about energy security, in particular on oil issues. We could coordinate our actions in this field as well: We have even more trumps in our hands," the Belarusian president said.
Lukashenko said Belarus is ready to interact - not to press on anybody, but to defend the two countries' interests.
"Such a dialog could take place at the CIS summit in Minsk," he said.
