MINSK. Nov 23 (Interfax-West) - The International Atomic Energy Agency's Technical Assistance Committee has considered a draft program for technical cooperation for 2007-08, and entered five national projects for Belarus on it, Belarussian Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Popov said at a press briefing on Thursday.
"The program has about 800 projects for 114 countries. The five national projects intended for Belarus are valued at over $1.1 million," Popov said.
The projects are intended to assist Belarus in dealing with the aftermath of the Chernobyl disaster, in health care, in radiation safety and in dealing with accidents.
