Belarus posts budget surplus of 3% of GDP in 10 mths

MINSK. Nov 22 (Interfax) - Belarus posted a budget surplus of 1.914 trillion Belarussian rubles, or 3% of GDP, in January-October 2006, a source in the Finance Ministry told Interfax.

Budget revenue, including the social welfare fund, was 23.157 trillion rubles, or 90.4% of the adjusted target, and spending was 21.243 trillion rubles, or 77.9% of the target.

The official exchange rate on November 22 was 2,140 Bel. rubles/$1.
