PINSK, Belarus -- Four people have been reported killed from an explosion at a plywood plant in the southwestern Belarusian town of Pinsk, RFE/RL's Belarus Service reports.

Three of them were buried in the Pasyanichy Cemetery in Pinsk today. Union officials at the plant told RFE/RL that an extra grave had been dug for a fourth victim of the October 25 accident who has died in hospital.

Viktar Sirenka, the chief physician at the Minsk ambulance center, said today that seven of the 18 hospitalized victims of the explosion were in comas. He said those seven were in Minsk, while the remaining 11 were taken to hospitals in Berastse and Pinsk.

The explosion was caused by the explosion of two boilers in the plant's workshop. The explosion caused a glass ceiling to collapse on workers.
