Belarus, Venezuela sign contract for Venezuelan oil supplies up to 2013

MINSK, October 16 (Itar-Tass) -- Belarus and Venezuela signed a contract for Venezuelan oil supplies up to 2013.

The contract was signed by and between the Belarusian Oil Company and Petroleos de Venezuela for the supply of oil in 2011-2013.

Other documents singed as part of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez' working visit to Belarus include a memorandum of understanding between Belorusneft and the Venezuelan petroleum corporation on the expansion of premises of the joint venture Petrolera BeloVenezolana, and a founding act on the creation of a joint venture, Servisio BeloVenezolana, to drill and repair oil wells in Venezuela.

Belarusian First Vice Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko said Belarus would receive to 10 million tonnes of Venezuelan oil starting next year.

In addition, in addition to five deposits currently being developed jointly in Venezuela, another two oilfields will be added to increase oil production from 820,000 tonnes to 1.2 million tonnes a year.
