Belarus President wants farmwork to be completed by November 1

At meeting with Minister of Agriculture and Foodstuffs Semyon Shapiro, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko demanded to complete all agricultural works including fall-ploughing by November 1, BelTA learnt from the presidential pres service.

All those regardless of the post who do not reach the preset goals will bear responsibility for the failure, the President underlined.

Alexander Lukashenko was concerned about the autumn field work and demanded to bring order into every oblast as soon as possible.

The Head of State was informed about the fulfillment of his order to raise the effectiveness of the industry operation. In particular, he was informed about approaches to reforming the state administration system and the establishment of business administration in this area. According to the minister, the system should contribute to raising the potential of agricultural producers thanks to new technologies and scientific innovations.

The President was also informed on the measures to set up a food company as part of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry. The company is expected to unite high-level professionals to offer contractual services to economic entities in various areas ranging from manufacturing to sales of ready products. They will also offer consulting, scientific and practical support.
