London hosts Belarusian investment forum

On 18 November 2008, for the first time ever, London will host a Belarusian Investment Forum. The event will focus on showcasing the investment opportunities of the Republic of Belarus for the international business community, forging direct ties between foreign investors and Belarus enterprises and banks.

The Belarusian delegation will be led by Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorsky and include senior officials of the Ministries, governmental bodies, and executives of concerns, entrepreneurial unions, leading enterprises.

Those in attendance will be able to explore the investment opportunities of the Republic of Belarus in detail, peruse projects of the Belarusian manufacturers and companies, and learn more about the investment profile-raising policies pursued by our country.

Large-scale foreign businesses will share their experiences about what it is like to work in Belarus.

The Forum is expected to involve a number of thematic workshops: Industry, Petrochemical Sector and Energy; Development of Financial Markets and Financial Institutions; Agroindustrial Sector, Food Processing and Light Industry; Regions, Free Economic Zones, Small and Medium-Sized Business.

Foreign industrial, investment and advisory companies, commercial banks and financial organizations who are interested in doing business in Belarus are kindly invited to attend the Forum.
