Belarus allows duty-free import for some tropical oils

President of Republic of Belarus Alexandr Lukashenko on October 30 has introduced zero import taxes for some tropical oils and their fractions delivered by way of pouring.

Zero import taxes for some tropical oils will be active till December 31, 2007. At that, begginning from January , 2008 Belarus will introduce nex Custom Codex in which zero taxes norm will be saved.Accordingly, this document unifies import rates for customs taxes applyed by Belarus and Russia as for these kinds of goods.

Realization of the decree will promote increase of competitiveness of domestic soap-producing and oil production, satisfaction of prime needs of the population of the country in socially significant goods.
