Azerbaijani President Visits Belarus

October 17, 2006 -- Belarusian President Alyaksandr Lukashenka and his Azerbaijani counterpart, Ilham Aliyev, today signed a range of agreements to enhance cooperation between the two countries.

The agreements relate to areas that include education, sport, and transport.

Lukashenka also said he sees huge potential for cooperation in the energy sector.
