Belarus Plans To Increase Crude Transit Via Ukraine

Belarus intends to step up supplies of crude through Ukraine, Belarussian Prime Minister Sergey Sidorskiy said during a meeting with Ukrainian First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Klyuyev.

"We can confirm that these supplies are long-term in nature", Sidorskiy said, "We are diversifying supplies of crude".

The Belarussian Prime Minister said the republic was actively producing crude in Venezuela. "We are also working in third countries - in Africa and Asia - and intend to begin receiving crude from there", he added.

Klyuyev stated that Ukraine was ready to continue transiting crude for Belarus, but would like to confirm the volumes. "We need to have clarity regarding volumes. we should know this by the end of November, in order to schedule the deliveries", Klyuyev said.
