Belarus sowed grains throughout 41.3% of planned areas

As of September 13, agricultural economies of Belarus sowed winter grains throughout the areas of 582.5 thsd ha, or 41.3% of planned areas, declared the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

As of the same date of the previous year, agrarians sowed grains throughout 537.3 thsd ha, or 38.1% from the planned areas. In the current year, winter grain sowings will occupy 1.41 mln ha of agricultural areas.

Agricultural organizations of Vitebsk and Mogilev oblast became the leaders of the rates of the sowing campaign, and sowed grains throughout 52.2% and 53% of planned areas, respectively.

The majority of agricultural organizations of the country plan to finish winter wheat sowing campaign till September 15, winter rye and triticale - till September 20. the rates of the sowing campaign depend on the levels of soil preparations and impositions of mineral fertilizers.
