Belarus won Junior Eurovision bid over Malta and Russia

Belarusian broadcaster TVR has revealed more information on the organization of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010. The show will be hosted in Minsk on Saturday 20th November next year. The EBU announced the choice for Belarus back in June. Belarus won the bid over Malta and Russia.

According to Belarusian broadcaster TVR the ideas presented by Belteleradiocompany at the bid presentation were so convincing that Belarus was selected to host the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2010. The show will take place in the Minsk Arena. The Belarusian application already included the complete recreational program for the young performers and the international journalists. They will attend a circus show and meet the Belarusian Father Frost.

Belarus also impressed the European Broadcasting Union with the unique design of the scene, the big capacity of the Minsk Arena (15.000 spectators) and the slogan of the contest (Feel The Magic). The children will be able to plunge into the atmosphere of fairy tales, a month before Christmas. TVR plans to invite a superstar to give a master-class for the junior singers.
