Grain crop in Belarus totaled 9.3 mln tonnes

As of September 7, Belarus harvested 9.27 mln tonnes of grain, measured in its bunker weight, an increase of 1.87 mln tonnes compared to the previous year, according to the Main Department of Plant Growing of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

Experts expect the grain harvest to reach 9.3 mln tonnes. Thus, Belarusian farming has almost reached its planned goal. However, the crop, including buckwheat and millet volumes, will even exceed the expected level. Further, farmers have harvested grain and legumes throughout 98.8% of the planned territory.

This year, an average yield totaled 38.5 c/ha and even increased by 0.3 á by the end of the campaign, as opposed to 32 c/ha in the previous year.
