Volunteers wanted for Belarus

WEast Chernobyl is a charitable group founded in March 2008 with the intention of undertaking a specific voluntary charitable project in Belarus.

We need a whole array of voluntary workers to join, such as those with medical or trade experience, or any type of background.

We need a range of skills, experience and willingness to help.

A person must be 18 years or more to join. If a person has retired and is looking for something of a challenge then we would welcome them as well. Age is not a barrier.

We also welcome people who may not want to go to Belarus but who would love to be involved in the preparation and funding work that takes place in Northern Ireland.

In this regard we have a youth section of 16 to 18-year-olds who help with fund raising and preparation work. If you want a challenge that has its own rewards, then contact the group by email at weastchern@hotmail.com or by letter to Box 114, Newry Democrat Office, Hill Street, Newry.

Why not rise to the challenge and experience the satisfaction of helping those who are less fortunate?
