Tehran, Minsk to cooperate for prevention of natural disasters
TEHRAN (IRNA) -- President Mahmud Ahmadinejad endorsed an agreement between Iran and Belarus on prevention of natural disasters, the Interior Ministry said on Monday.
Head of Interior Ministry's media council Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Hossein Musapur said that the agreement envisaged technical cooperation and data sharing between Iran and Belarus to lower the harm of natural disasters.
It has one introduction and 17 articles about coordination between the two countries in prevention of natural disaster.
The agreement calls for establishment of joint infrastructure for early warning and the role the United Nations and other international forums would undertake in dealing with damages of natural disasters
