"Polish spies" in Belarus will be barracked in different colonies after trial

ormer Belarus militaries condemned for espionage in favour of Poland will be contained in different colonies, daily Belorusskiye novosti reports, referring to TV channel ONT.

It was specified in the Department of Execution of Punishments of the Interior Ministry of Belarus, that "the Polish spies" will be sent to corrective establishments where those who have committed their first crimes serve their prison sentence. The department is waiting for the documents from the Supreme court. The sentenced persons will be sent to the prison as soon as the papers will be received, Belorusskiye novosti says.

On September 14, the Military board of the Supreme court of Belarus recognized Vladimir Russkin, Viktor Bogdan, Pavel Petkevich and Sergei Kornilyuk guilty of deliberate espionage accomplished to the detriment of security and defensibility of the country and sentenced the accused to prison terms from 7 to 10 years. The court also decided to deprive with all "the spies" of their officer military ranks.

Yesterday in Moscow district military court a trial started in the case of the Russian officer Sergei Yurenya, who alongside with the Belarus militaries was allegedly involved in the sensational espionage case on behalf of the Polish spy agencies.
