Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki arrived in Belarus on Sept. 7 for a two-day visit during which he will meet with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, Foreign Minister Sergei Martynov, and House of Representatives chairman Vladimir Konoplyov. Lukashenko called Iran a significant source of support, and the foreign ministry said the talks will be wide-ranging. Mottaki also said Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will meet with Lukashenko in Havana during the Non-Aligned Movement summit Sept. 11-16.
