Investigation of Lithuanian Diplomat's Death Extended

MINSK. Sept 25 (Interfax) - The investigation of the death of Lithuanian diplomat Vytautas Pociunas in Brest, Belarus, has been extended until October 23, a source at the Belarusian Prosecutor's Office told Interfax on Monday.

"The initial investigation has been extended, because the results of gene and two chemical tests are not ready. We hope to receive the results within the next few weeks," he said.

The gene test will show whether the clothes and body of the victim had alien particles, while the chemical tests will show any alien chemicals in his blood.

Pociunas was found dead near the Intourist Hotel on August 24. Lithuanian and Belarusian police officers preliminary said that he fell out of the hotel window. His blood contained 1.9 ppm (parts per million) of alcohol.

The diplomat was visiting Brest to attend celebrations of the 15th anniversary of Ukraine's independence.
