Russian and Belarusian PMs to hold gas talks

RBC, 26.09.2006, Moscow 10:19:23.Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov will hold talks with Belarusian PM Sergei Sidorsky in Moscow on Tuesday, the Russian government's press office told journalists. A source in the Cabinet told RBC that Belarus would raise the issue of gas cooperation at the meeting.

The source said that Gazprom and Beltransgaz were now in consultations to determine the terms for gas supplies to Belarus in 2007 and the implementation of the project to establish a joint gas transportation company. A contract between the two companies for 2007 is due to be signed by the end of 2006.
