By the 4th of September grain harvest totaled 5.3 mln tonnes - Belarus

Grains have been harvested on 1.937 mln hectares area. It totals 88.6% from the schedule, informed the Head of main crop production Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Gregory Romanyuk.

However, the harvesting campaign has been complicated by cloudbursts that took place in the north of Republic.

Gross grain yield totaled 5.6 mln tonnes. 42.300 tonnes were mowed on the private farmsteads (25.5%). Milling figure was 116.000 tonnes. Las year this index was 500.000 tonnes of grain.
