Former Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev is still in exile in Belarus with his brother Zhanybek, said Keneshbek Dushebayev, head of the Kyrgyz State National Security Service.
"According to information we have, Zhanybek Bakiyev is staying beside his elder brother Kurmanbek, the former Kyrgyz president," Dushebayev told journalists in Bishkek on Thursday.
He denied rumors that Zhanybek crossed the Tajik border together with militants.
"Several of his brothers and his entourage are in the neighboring state and are trying to impact the events in the republic," he said.
During his brother's presidency, Zhanybek led the Kyrgyz Presidential Security Service.
