Belarus increased vegetable oils production by 32.5%

During January-July period of 2010, production volumes of vegetable oils in Belarus totaled 56.59 thsd tonnes, an increase of 32.5% compared to the same period of 2009, declared the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus (Belstat).

During seven months of 2010, the organizations of the Belarusian State Concern of Food Industry (Belgospischeprom) increased vegetable oils production by 19.6% compared to the level of January-July 2009 - to 18.68 thsd tonnes, the enterprises, subordinated to the local councils of deputies, produced 22.59 thsd tonnes of vegetable oils (up 11.2%).

During seven months of 2010, the enterprises of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food increased vegetable oils production by 5.3 times compared to the same period of the previous year, to the level of 11.5 thsd tonnes, juridical entities without the departmental affiliation decreased the output by 17.2% - to 3.81 thsd tonnes.

Belarus increased production of bottled oils by 19.4% compared to January-July period of 2009, and output 7.76 thsd tonnes of the product.

According to data of the National Statistical Committee, as of August 1, 2010, reserves of vegetable oils at storages of producers totaled 16.6% of the average monthly production volumes.
