Belarus harvested over 2 mln tonnes of grains
Agricultural economies of Belarus harvested 2.16 mln tonnes of grains of the new crop, declared the Ministry of Agriculture and Food on August 3.
The average grain yield in the country exceeded the last year level by 2.86 c/ha and totaled 39.27 c/ah.
Agrarians harvested grains and leguminous plants (without maize) throughout 550.9 thsd ha, which totaled 23% from planned areas.
As a reminder, the mass harvesting campaign of grains in Belarus started on July 25. According to forecasts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the country, the campaign will end in 20 weather days.
In 2009, Belarus plans to harvest grains at the level of 9.4 mln tonnes.
