Patriarch Kirill plans visits to Belarus, Egypt

Moscow, August 6, Interfax - Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia plans to visit Egypt in November 2009, a spokesman for the Moscow Patriarchate told a press conference held in at the Interfax premises on Thursday.

The Patriarch is scheduled to visit the Alexandria Patriarchate in Egypt on November 14-16, Head of the Moscow Patriarchate Department for External Church Relations Archbishop Hilarion of Volokolamsk told the press conference.

In July, Patriarch Kirill visited Turkey and met with Patriarch of Constantinople Bartholomew.

Patriarch Kirill plans to pay visits to several independent states that are part of the canonical space of the Moscow Patriarchate, including Belarus. The Patriarch is scheduled to visit the Minsk, Polotsk and Vitebsk dioceses on September 25-28.
