Gazprom expects Minsk to pay off debt

RBC, 03.08.2007, Moscow 19:37:04.Gazprom has warned Minsk that it would cut gas supplies by 30 percent if Belarus does not pay back its debt for natural gas supplies in the first half of 2007, spokesman for Gazprom Sergei Kupriyanov told Echo of Moscow radio today. He added that the next deadline was set for 10 a.m. on August 10, 2007. However, Kupriyanov reassured journalists that the energy holding was still poised to fullfil its commitments to European gas consumers.
