30 July 2007 - In the near future, Azerbaijani and Belarusian emergency ministers are planned to have a meeting. As APA agency reports, the statement was made by Belarusian Deputy Emergency Minister Valentin Karpitsky in Baku today. According to him, the meeting will take place in Minsk; an agreement planned to be signed is prepared already. Karpitsky noted that the discussion might also concern Azerbaijan purchasing weapons and equipment from Belarus.
The Belarusian deputy minister is in Baku at the 21st session of the Intergovernmental Council of CIS Member-Countries on emergencies that started today in Baku. Representatives and delegations from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Ukraine are taking part in the session.
