MANILA. Aug 3 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov believes that the issue of cuts in Russian natural gas supplies to Belarus should not be inflated.
"I would not overly dramatize the situation," he said at a Friday press conference in Manila following talks with his Filipino colleague Alberto Romulo.
The Russian and Belarussian sides will hold talks today to mull the current situation, he said.
Commenting on the reaction of the European Commission, which expressed concern over the cuts, Lavrov said that Russia "is continuing all fuel deliveries with due diligence."
