It is expected that initially the enterprise will produce up to 6,000 engines annually, half of which will be delivered to the Tashkent tractor plant for tractors. About 3,000 engines will be given to service centres of Uzbekistan's agroindustrial sector as spare parts.

About 50 per cent of the spare parts for the production of the engines will be delivered from Russia and Belarus and the rest will be produced at affiliated enterprises in Uzbekistan.

According to the source, at present the joint venture is undergoing the process of registration at the country's ministries and agencies. It is expected that the UzBelDizel will produce about 500 engines this year already. By 2010, it is planned to raise the factory's production capacity up to 20,000 engines per year.
