Belarus harvested 1.1 million tonnes of grain

According to Ministry of Agricultural Products of Belarus, as of August 1 this year Belarus has harvested grains and pulses from 348,800 hectares, which is 16 percent of the total area harvest area. As of today grain crop made 1.1 million tonnes at the average yield 3.22 tonnes per hectare.

As of the same date malting barley was harvested from 11,700 hectares (12.8 percent of the forecast area). Malting barley crop made 46,000 tonnes at the average yield 3.93 tonnes per hectare.

Besides, rapeseed harvest has been running in the Republic. According to the Ministry's data, rapeseed has been harvested from 85,000 hectares (62 percent of the forecast area). Rapeseed crop makes 156,300 tonnes at the average yield 1.84 tonnes per hectare.

This year Belarus is expected to harvest over 7 million tonnes of grains.
